It’s the first day back to work after the holidays, and the snowiest we’ve had for many years. Here in North Yorkshire we’ve had the whitest Christmas and New Year holidays I can remember. Having walked to work this morning to avoid the risk of my car getting stuck in the copious overnight snow, I’m sitting here watching the snow plough try to make some impact on the roads and parking areas here in the estate, but cars and vans are still getting stuck on the hill! One particular man in a white van is providing great entertainment as he is making his sixth or eighth attempt at the hill, having seen many other vehicles complete the climb past him. One determined guy! At the moment it’s hard to imagine that this kind of weather won’t continue for the long term.
